Body Sugaring

Body Sugaring

What is body sugaring

Body Sugaring hair removal, also called “Sugar Waxing” is an ancient method of hair removal that has its roots in Alexandria, Egypt, where a clean, hairless body was considered to epitomize youth, innocence and beauty. It is believed that its uses were discovered accidentally, after the paste was used to treat wounds and aid in healing.

Removing the paste removed the hair while leaving the skin unharmed. This method of unwanted hair removal was much quicker and more effective than shaving or using tools like tweezers and left the skin smooth and exfoliated, therefore replacing older methods of depilation.

Sugaring vs. Waxing

Body Sugaring hair removal has become increasingly popular due to its 100% natural ingredients; unlike wax, the sugaring mixture contains no resins,  preservatives or chemicals which can cause bacterial infection and contamination.

Also, unlike waxing, the paste adheres to the hair and dead skin cells, not the live skin, and is therefore less harmful to the skin.

Montgomery Electrolysis & Body Sugaring provides Sugaring hair removal services, which is considered a superior alternative to traditional body waxing.

Benefits of Sugaring (paste)

The paste can be applied to large areas, making this method of unwanted hair removal quicker than traditional waxing.

As the mixture is water soluble, any residue left on the skin is easy to clean up with water.

The paste can be re-applied many times, if necessary, over missed hairs – this cannot be done with strip wax due to sensitivity of the skin after the first application of wax.

Over a period of time, the hair follicle weakens and dies out, so the frequency of needing hair removal will diminish.

Body Sugaring can be used on people with sensitive skin as the mixture adheres to the hair, and not the skin. The skin is not at risk of being burned, as the paste used is body temperature, and no resins or chemicals are used.
